ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're looking for a Director, Chief of Staff and Program Management Office (PMO) to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll shape and coordinate how Endologix develops, delivers, and sustains innovation across the enterprise. This leader will define and drive both near-term and long-term strategic initiatives that govern how we develop and commercialize new products while sustaining existing offerings. You will partner closely with Executive and functional leadership to evolve processes, methods, and expectations related to portfolio planning, risk management, and execution—strengthening our ability to deliver innovation on time and on budget. Key responsibilities include leading Program Review Committee (PRC) coordination and planning; defining, tracking, and reporting portfolio performance and metrics; designing and implementing an enterprise-wide prioritization framework; and partnering with executive and functional leaders to translate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) into a clear, executable portfolio.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Program Planning and Reporting:

  • Lead and champion execution of the Product Development Process (PDP) across Endologix.
  • Own the end-to-end program management methodology, including processes, standards, and enterprise-wide deployment; provide training and guidance to project teams as needed.
  • Partner with functional leaders to define expectations for high-quality business cases, robust project planning, and effective PRC Phase Gate Reviews.
  • Ensure project teams develop integrated, cross-functional lifecycle plans and secure stakeholder alignment on cost, schedule, and risk profiles.
  • Hold project teams and functional leaders accountable for delivering results on time and on budget; ensure timely escalation of risks and development of effective mitigation plans.
  • Ensure project contracts are created, reviewed, and updated at each phase review.
  • Define, collect, analyze, and report program and portfolio metrics to the PRC; maintain and govern the portfolio metrics database.

Program Prioritization and Portfolio Alignment:

  • Lead the planning effort to translate enterprise strategy into a clear, executable portfolio across new product development and sustaining initiatives.
  • Own and govern the enterprise-wide prioritization process, ensuring decisions are made at the appropriate leadership level.
  • Partner with the Executive Team, key stakeholders, and functional leaders to define and lead the program planning cycle.
  • Lead cross-functional resource supply vs. demand planning and drive portfolio trade-offs to ensure feasibility and execution readiness.
  • Define, manage, and communicate portfolio changes in alignment with strategic and operational priorities.

Program Execution and Governance:

  • Track and report progress across all programs, providing regular, concise updates to the Executive Team.
  • Partner with Executive and functional leadership to define and manage the cadence of governance, including PRC reviews, AOP planning, and required project approvals.
  • Ensure transparency and alignment by keeping all stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and issues.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead organizational change management initiatives related to program planning, execution, governance, AOP, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure teams conduct lessons learned and apply continuous improvement practices as part of standard program management execution.

Talent Management:

  • Establish and develop a Core Team Leader and Core Team Member pipeline, partnering cross-functionally to build strong, scalable project leadership capabilities.
  • Partner with PRC Core Team Leaders and Functional Leaders to assess and align talent needs for each program, ensuring the right capabilities are in place while enabling appropriate developmental stretch.

Other:

  • Support development and refinement of Board of Directors meeting materials, including portfolio, program, and strategic updates.
  • Champion and reinforce Endologix values across the Office of Project Management, embedding them into ways of working, decision-making, and leadership behaviors.
  • Ensure that projects managed outside of the PRC leverage an appropriate, scalable hierarchy of program management tools and rigor based on project complexity and scope.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational and business priorities.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related area of study, or equivalent years of experience in a related field or Business.
