ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Sales Training - PVto join our strategic, mission-driven commercial organization. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting, implementing, and executing Endologix’s training programs for physicians, field-based representatives, and other key stakeholders—while upholding the highest standards of clinical integrity and a “patient first” mindset. This individual brings strong clinical knowledge and expertise in peripheral vascular and aortic therapies, combined with the ability to apply instructional design and adult learning principles to enhance training effectiveness. The role requires significant cross-functional collaboration and alignment with Endologix’s strategic objectives, as well as engagement with physicians and industry thought leaders.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Sales Training, Certification:
    • Lead New Hire Training Program and execution of the case support certification process.
    • Create, develop and execute on all peripheral sales training to include onboarding, continued education and advanced training of the peripheral sales organization.
    • Assess and certify field-based clinical specialist and peripheral account managers with the objective of independent case support and case planning.
    • Accountable for certification and documentation of all training records for field-based personnel with the objective of independent case support and case planning.
    • Ensure effective execution of all training programs utilizing instructional design techniques and appropriate measurements and feedback tools.
    • Develop and implement recertification program for sales and clinical specialist organization, as needed.
    • Considered to be the expert on peripheral vascular therapies and can address/advise on difficult and unexpected situations that may arise during certification cases.
    • Administration of written and oral exams and assessment of case management competencies.
    • Manage the Field Sales Training program – manage this group and their activities, meet with on a regular basis to ensure we are adjusting based on feedback.
  • Curriculum and Program Development:
    • Work cross functionally to develop content for Endologix product and procedure training, including product launches, best practices and continuous education.
    • Determine the need for learning continuums; deliver continuous improvement training on all Endologix product platforms, to include but not limited to annual certification testing, product refresh training and CAPA training.
    • Support development of content and programs to execute sales excellence and sales enablement training initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Up to 50% travel, including attendance at new hire training in Santa Rosa, CA quarterly, support of field-based training programs, peripheral symposia’s, field travel as needed to stay relevant in role, and other business and industry-related events.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

 

Education:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree, preferably in an allied health, engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of vascular interventional experience.
  • 5+ years of industry clinical support and instructional experience.
  • At least 7+ years of relevant clinical or product development experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clinical knowledge of endovascular aneurysm repair and peripheral vascular therapies.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent communicator in written and spoken form, be a socially skilled and presentable manager with an air of confidence and organization that inspires his/her colleagues and serves to reflect the high standards of the organization.
  • Must have superior communication skills to verbally support deployment steps to Endologix implanting customers.
  • Must possess superior clinical knowledge of aortic pathologies and vascular and endovascular treatment options. Will be required to maintain a high competency level across Endologix product portfolio, including clinical application, indications, contraindications, implant techniques and procedural troubleshooting.
  • Must be certified across all Endologix products (may be completed on the job).
  • Must be able to utilize Endologix Virtual Reality Units (may be completed on the job).
  • Must have an understanding of adult learning principles.
  • High level of training skills such that training can be delivered in person at product training workshops, symposia, sales meetings, or remotely via Webinars.

The compensation package includes:

  • Base salary of $175,000/yr-$200,000/yr
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Equity participation as approved by Board of Directors (4-year vesting schedule)
