Our existing products can treat a wide spectrum of vascular disease through abdominal aortic aneurysms to lower limb peripheral vascular disease. We obtain excellent clinical outcomes through meticulous attention to product design, manufacturing, and training, all backed by industry-leading clinical evidence. 

 

The Senior Manager, Cost Accounting will serve as the global lead for cost/manufacturing accounting including related month end close and general ledger activities. The role will also partner and provide counsel to the Operations team on all financial matters impacting cost of goods sold and inventory balances. Success in this role requires an individual who can proactively partner with Operations to help them improve their processes, deliver concise, actionable recommendations, and identify and put into place cost savings opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of the Finance department’s key business partners with the Operations team
  • Manage all aspects of cost accounting for multiple sites and product lines
  • Perform monthly accounting close activities relating to inventory including manual inventory related journal entries, inventory account reconciliations, variance capitalization analysis and excess & obsolete reserve analysis
  • Serve as key point of contact for inventory-related requests in external financial statements audits by preparing support schedules, coordinating with the team for audit requests and working directly with the auditors to resolve issues
  • Support or implement improved processes around gross margin analysis including forecasting of various scenarios
  • Continually improve cost accounting processes for all manufacturing sites
  • Provide hands-on support to the Operations team with the transacting of day-to-day manufacturing and ensuring compliance with the company’s standard operating procedures
  • Support FP&A with the annual operating plan including setting production cost standards for labor, material, overhead, and assisting with gross margin and cash flow projections
  • Support FP&A and Operations with tracking budgets vs actuals, updating forecasts, providing variance analysis, providing product cost analysis
  • Monitor and maintain targeted inventory turnover ratios
  • Maintain global standard inventory costs, including materials, labor and overhead rates
  • Support Operations team with inventory counts, including full physical and periodic cycle counts
  • Support Operations with new product build-outs/capacity expansion projects
  • Execute various finance and accounting system implementation and build-out projects, as assigned
  • Perform periodic and ad-hoc gross margin analyses

Qualifications

  • Ability to excel in a remote or distributed work environment, including strong self-motivation, time management, and digital communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in ERP accounting software (QAD preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Movemedical: Medical Inventory Software is a plus
  • Experience in fast paced, emerging growth company environment is a plus
  • Extreme attention to detail, high levels of professionalism and excellent communication skills
  • Strong general ledger skills; involvement with process improvement
  • Works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluations of identifiable factors;
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Highly analytical and able to efficiently problem-solve in dynamic work environment
  • Normally receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments

Compensation: 140,000/yr-$170,000/yr +discretionary bonus
