Endologix LLC is a California-based, global medical device company dedicated to improving patients’ lives by providing innovative therapies for the interventional treatment of vascular disease. 
 
We have a therapeutic portfolio designed to treat diseases which currently have clinically relevant unmet needs. Our existing products can treat a wide spectrum of vascular disease through abdominal aortic aneurysms to lower limb peripheral vascular disease. We obtain excellent clinical outcomes through meticulous attention to product design, manufacturing, and training, all backed by industry-leading clinical evidence. 

 

Job Summary:

This strategic leader will focus on developing and managing all facets of physician engagement including advisory boards, society engagement, field clinical marketing and coordination of physician engagement activities across specialties. This position will be responsible for strategy development, program management and metrics around field clinical marketing and therapy development across the portfolio including KTL engagement and advocacy to support the overall business objectives. This is a management position that includes direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and implementation plan for Key Thought Leader (KTL) engagement including society engagement, physician/patient advocacy and support, as well as management of physician advisory boards.
  • Lead development of field clinical marketing strategy and execution plans to support therapy development efforts across the Endologix portfolio.
  • Manage a team of field clinical marketers to support appropriate therapy adoption and best in class customer lead management.
  • Collaborate across commercial functions to define customer and market analytics to support therapy adoption.
  • Collaborate across internal functions including clinical, reimbursement, marketing, sales leadership and other stakeholders to cultivate peer-to-peer physician engagement across interventional specialties (Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology).
  • Oversee the design and implementation for product launch training programs and materials for physicians.
  • Responsible for creating physician engagement programs - including budgeting, objectives, metrics and overall program development.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop educational and training partnership opportunities.
  • Track proficiency metrics, therapy adoption metrics, conduct market research to continually improve training programs and engagement efforts.
  • Develop on-going Medical Education Strategy in alignment with business priorities and cross-functional needs.
  • Other related duties as requested by direct management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 10+ year’s in medical technology sales / clinical / marketing / training / adult education experience or equivalent experience in a class III medical device company.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience at a managerial level, leadership experience at a medical technology company
  • Prior experience in leading KTL engagement, physician education and managing field-based employees in the interventional vascular space is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop clinical and technical curriculum and implement training programs.
  • Healthcare and industry knowledge in PVD and/or AAA therapies strongly preferred.
  • High level of clinical competence within respective disease state (peripheral vascular) strongly preferred.
  • Must be an effective teacher / leader catering to a variety of learning styles with emphasis on adult learning principles and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams across the development of strategy through execution
  • Travel up to 50% within US. This role is remote with expectation that the leader lives near major US airport with the ability to travel throughout the US. Limited international travel may be required to support conferences and global physician engagement programs.
