Join Our Exciting Team as a Sr. Principal R&D Technician!

Job Summary:

The Sr. Principal Technician will be responsible for working on a cross-functional team and individually to develop, test, and evaluate implantable medical devices, delivery systems, components, and materials. Support current production, sustaining products, and new product development.

• Work with technicians and engineers to create and document new product prototypes, product revisions, components, assemblies, or tools.
• Solve technical problems at the component and sub-system level.
• Execute/perform process development of existing and/or new technologies.
• Plan and conduct testing and perform data analysis to evaluate designs (experimental design, statistical techniques).
• Write and edit technical reports for regulatory submissions and internal use.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with management, peers, outside customers, and other teams/departments.
• Document all work according to GMP and SOPs.
• Participate in risk assessments and development of adequate risk controls.
• Work product outcomes are likely to be components of a larger initiative.
• May represent R&D on cross-functional teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Education:

• Technical Associate degree or equivalent experience in applicable discipline.

Experience:

• 15+ years of technical experience, medical device industry preferred.
• GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements working knowledge preferred.
• Experience writing test protocols and reports.
• Experience creating test plans, conducting tests, and analyzing data.
• Experience with CAD design.

Compensation:  $40.87/hr to $49.28/hr base rate + discretionary bonus
