The Production Supervisor provides leadership to manufacturing personnel to produce high quality products for our customers. Develop and sustain the manufacturing team with a quality minded culture driven by focusing on customer service, outstanding compliance to procedures, and continuous improvement activities that support business objectives. Provide for fair and equitable treatment of employees by following company policies and department guidelines. Decisions have a direct impact on ability to fulfill customer demand.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise production personnel and activities to meet customer requirements for existing commercial products, new product introductions and clinical builds.
  • Lead team in achieving production goals around Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Manage employee morale and work to maintain a safe, injury-free work environment. Develop a culture that promotes employee safety and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure compliance to quality systems (FDA, GMP, QSR, ISO), product specifications, process instructions, safety requirements and company policies. Includes the diligent management of non-conformances to ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Challenge the workforce and the work environment to deliver high-performance results that provide cost-effective goods and services to our customers.
  • Set clear performance standards and hold people accountable for results; value, recognize and reward the achievement of others; promote teamwork.
  • Administer and execute Endologix business policies and procedures that affect all individuals and team structures.
  • Track, analyze and report key indicator data and metrics for areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain timecards and attendance records for employees; schedule contingency plans for absenteeism.
  • Adapt to frequent changes in the work environment; manage multiple tasks and competing demands.
  • Proactively identify potential failure modes relative to quality or business risks.
  • Hire, train develop and evaluate production personnel to ensure the appropriate resources and talent are in place.
  • Identify team members’ training requirements and ensure that individuals are appropriately trained before assignment to a work detail.
  • Identify and implement lean manufacturing improvements in effort to improve quality, increase productivity, reduce costs and reduce cycle times. Train team on lean manufacturing principles.
  • Estimate materials, tools and supply requirements and provide coordination of fulfillment.
  • May be required to enter work order information into ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate daily activities with Planning.
  • Troubleshoot work problems with employees; convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure.
  • Participate in developing new procedures and processes to improve manufacturing or introduce new products.
  • Create, route, collaborate and approve document change orders that affect production documentation.
  • Evaluate team member’s performance as well, development opportunities on a regular basis in a written performance review.
  • Work in a clean room environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year Manufacturing Supervisor experience (Medical Device preferred).
  • 6+ years of related manufacturing experience in a leadership role (Internal Candidates)
  • Experience working with manufacturing/ERP systems (QAD preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or similar computer software.
  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements (QSR) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment and application of environmental procedures

Compensation: $60,000 to $92,000 annually plus discretionary bonus
