    Will oversee and be responsible for the day to day operations of Facilities and Maintenance.  Will be responsible for maintaining all facilities and equipment requirements for assigned campus. Will be responsible for, provide oversight and direction to technicians, contract vendors, property inspection support, as well as the monitoring all building systems, and equipment.  Will provide project management support to for any construction and facility tenant improvements.  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    • In accordance with Endologix’s policies and applicable laws and regulations: Select, reward, discipline, train and develop employees.
    • Plan and direct performance of the Facilities and Maintenance staff members as assigned: Motivate employees, assist in goal setting, provide development opportunities and performance feedback, address complaints and resolve.
    • Supervise a team of workers and technicians to maintain the facility and equipment – scheduling, directing and monitoring their work.
    • Maintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
    • Act as the point person to the facilities & equipment technicians while working closely with the manager to ensure strategic planning, implementations of plans, resolving problems while maintaining production quality.
    • Secure bids for facility work to be completed. Assist with the negotiation of vendor contracts.  Oversee and schedule all vendor mechanical equipment systems work, contractor services, janitorial services, and pest control.  Assist in all facility services including physical security, waste removal, recycling, central services, office furnishings and office equipment.
    • Manage external service providers ensuring that deliverables are met in a timely manner and within budget. Monitors and maintain contractor’s performance and work closely with outside vendors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
    • Ensures clean rooms and general facility is maintained in optimum condition and in compliance with GMP requirements.
    • Perform daily and period walks of the site to determine what issues need resolution and verify work is completed correctly. Make recommendations for problem resolution. 
    • Routinely survey and evaluate necessary maintenance to the facility and perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair on systems while maintaining proper records.
    • Observe and trend facility issues for continuity and improvement.
    • Maintain facility budgets for accuracy, keep within annual budget practices, and to look at opportunities to reduce spend.
    • Maintain accurate records keeping equipment and systems cGMP compliant at all times. Ensures maintenance work orders are being completed on time while adhering to operational standards. Maintain and organize spare parts and consumables.
    • Supports the E&HS program for Endologix with documents, structure, deliverables, dashboards, monitoring and reporting.
    • In partnership with management, ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies including FDA, CA FDB, OSHA, DOH, EPA, Fire Department, city audits, Health Department, etc.
    • Work on assignments that are extremely complex in nature in which independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Ensure project supervision is maintained through completion of the project.
    • Perform minor construction and installation of fixtures and accessories and participate in remodel activities.
    • Assist in project completion and may provide recommendations and solutions to technical problems and facility issues.
    • Direct activities and support for the day-to-day operations associated with the Facilities Department.

    ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

    • Performs maintenance activities, trouble shoots issues, and repairs equipment/facilities as needed.
    • Utilize effective communication skills to deliver job expectations, coaching, training, recruiting, assigning tasks and ensuring reliability of facilities systems.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum of 6 years related experience
