The Marketing Communications Associate supports communications projects for product lines and/or corporate campaigns. The position supports the global marketing team in the production of product related communications and ensures that all marketing materials produced support the corporate image.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage communication projects, advertising, sales literature, or other promotional materials from planning to delivery including measurement of effectiveness.
  • Develop and present proposals to the Marketing team and manager for digital marketing initiatives. Create and deliver the agreed upon digital marketing initiatives and metrics, including email campaigns, online advertising, marketing automation, webinars, social media, surveys, web content, etc. Monitor the effectiveness of the digital marketing initiatives and make adjustments based upon performance against the agreed upon metrics.
  • Responsible for updating web content and revisions. Make recommendations for more effective methods and content.
  • Research and implement new communication outlets and vehicles to ensure company retains a strong competitive communication edge
  • Participate in cross-functional teams with other departments to ensure consistent branding and messaging, establish project goals and milestones, review materials and report metrics
  • Collaborate with Regulatory partners on the MCO process, ensuring that the marketing materials meet the requirements of corporate Work Instructions, write justifications, provide clarification, and that the MCOs are submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Manage printing/distribution and inventory management of specific product line communications. Negotiate with and represent ELGX with the printing and distribution suppliers.
  • Manage vendor activity to negotiate turnaround times and budget aspects to ensure project goals are achieved and coordinate with designers, agencies and other vendors.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow corporate style guide and quality systems procedures
  • As needed, assist with tradeshow messaging, booth graphics and other communications

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English or Journalism desired

Minimum Experience:

  • Two years or greater experience required
  • Experience managing outside agencies and vendors

Job Specific:

 

  • Solid writing and editing capability and eye for graphic design is critical.

  • Must know and understand advanced features of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Equipment Use & Abilities Required:

 

  • Equipment Use:   Copy machines, fax machines, calculators and personal computers and computer terminals.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents or governmental regulations.   Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to move within and between the buildings. A computer terminal is used to access, input, and retrieve data. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
